Entrepreneur, Master Gardener & STEM LeadÂ
Life of a Farmer (LOAF) is a hands-on agricultural education program created to help children understand where their food comes from while developing practical skills they can carry throughout life. Founded by entrepreneur, homeschool educator, and military spouse Latoya Scott, LOAF combines farming, science, technology, engineering, mathematics, history, and entrepreneurship through meaningful real-world experiences. From building planter boxes and testing soil to growing crops, studying pollinators, and creating farm-based businesses, children learn by doing. Our mission is to nurture curiosity, responsibility, creativity, and respect for the land—planting seeds of knowledge today that can grow into healthier families, stronger communities, and a more sustainable future.
